What nearly everyone asks

Do you take my insurance?

We are out of network with insurance plans, so you pay for each session yourself. We give you a monthly receipt (a superbill) to send to your plan, which may reimburse part of the cost; your plan decides what it pays. We do not take Medicare or Medicaid.

What is a superbill, and can I use it?

A superbill is an itemized receipt with the dates and kind of each session, which your plan may accept for reimbursement. It carries a diagnosis code your insurer can see, and your plan decides whether it pays anything.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a written estimate of what your care will cost before you start. If the final bill is $400 or more above it, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.

How much does it cost, and how do fees work?

Your fee depends on the clinician and the length of the session, and we give it to you in writing before you start. A limited number of reduced-fee spots are open. The page on how fees work has the details.

Can I use an HSA or FSA card?

Yes, they work like any other card. Ask your plan administrator what they cover.

What happens in the first session?

You and your clinician talk. You decide what to share. We explain how we work, how confidentiality works and where it ends, and we agree on how often to meet. Nobody asks for your history in the first hour unless you want to give it.

How often and how long are sessions?

Individual sessions are 50 minutes and couples sessions are 80. Weekly or every other week to start. Your clinician sets the pace with you and you can change it.

Are you licensed where I live?

Angelina and Orlando are licensed in New Mexico. Sessions by video are for people who are in New Mexico at the time of the session. Their licenses are listed at the foot of every page.

What do I do in a crisis?

Call or text 988 any time (press 2 for Spanish), or call 911 in an emergency. This site and our voicemail are not monitored around the clock.

What is private, and what are the limits?

What you say stays between you and your clinician. The limits, which we explain in writing before the first session, are a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, abuse or neglect of a child or of an adult who cannot protect themselves, and a court order.

Do you see teens or children?

No. We see adults only, 18 and over. We can give you the names of colleagues who see teens and children.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for 24 hours' notice to change or cancel a session. If you need to cancel late, talk to your clinician.
