Two people, two families, one room
For couples who each carry a family's expectations into the same home.
Sessions are 80 minutes with both of you and one clinician. We talk about how the two of you decide things, and about the voices of both families that sit in the room even when nobody invited them. Your clinician explains the method they use and you can ask about their training.

What it is like, and what it is not
What a session is like
Each of you has time to speak and to be heard. Your clinician slows things down and does not take sides.
What it is not
It is not a trial, and your clinician is not a judge. If one of you is afraid of the other, tell us first and we will talk about what kind of session fits.
How often, and for how long
Every one or two weeks to begin. Your clinician sets the pace with you both and does not promise a number of sessions.
How it is paid
You pay for each session yourselves, and your fee is given to you in writing before you start. See how fees work for receipts and the Good Faith Estimate.
Three questions about this service
Do we both have to come?
Couples sessions are for two. If only one of you wants to come, individual therapy is the place to begin.
Can we do it in Spanish?
Yes, with Angelina, in Spanish, in English or in both.
Do you see parents or in-laws too?
Not in a couples session. If you want to talk about them, we do it with the two of you.
